House Rules
NOISE & NEIGHBOURS:
Be kind to the neighbors. They're lovely folks and like everyone, just want to come up and enjoy their time at the cottage too. Please don't wander over on their property. Keep the noise down especially after 10:00pm. (which is a local bylaw AND the quickest way to put a real damper on your getaway is a visit & fine from the OPP!)
Please enjoy yourselves & your getaway to the cottage! Please also respect that everyone else around you comes to relax at their cottage too. Remember noise travels easily so be mindful of this when playing your outdoor music devices
GUEST OCCUPANCY: Please do not exceed guest occupancy of max 10 people. Triple Pines can sleep upto 11 people. The municipality of Lambton Shore also has a policy in place that rentals can not exceed 10 adults. Anyone over the age of 13years is considered an adult. We have outdoor security cameras to protect the safety of our property and our guests. If the guest count is exceeded you will be asked to leave and a fee will apply to the additional guests. Tampering with the security cameras is prohibited.
BOOKINGS: Must be made by an adult 25yrs or older, must be present at check in and must be a guest at the property for the duration of the stay
MONDAYS: Monday nights we request guests to collect garbage and recycling, taking the 2 large bins to the end of the driveway across from the laneway next to the left of the fire hydrant for pick up the next day. The location for the bins to be placed is shown on the top of the bins. Once the bins have been emptied please return them to the same location you found them in the garage.
SEPTIC SYSTEM: Please remember that we are on a septic system at the cottage. It will become blocked if the system is abused. If this happens waste can back up into the cottage sinks & toilets. To avoid this happening make absolutely sure that NO tampons, applicators, other sanitary products, diapers, hair, facial tissues, paper towels, baby wipes, Q-tips, condoms etc. are put into the toilet. Also make sure that no grease or other food waste is put down the kitchen sink drains. If a blockage occurs and a plumber is called to rectify the situation because these guidelines were not followed, you will be charged for the callout. Under normal operations, it is not a problem.
NO FOOTWEAR is to be worn inside the cottage. Please remove all footwear upon entry into the cottage.
SMOKING:
No smoking / vaping
Of course not in the cottage. If you are a smoker (cigarettes or otherwise) please keep it outside! Please use the sand bucket to dispose of your cigarette butts into while smoking outside. Do not leave cigarette butts on the property. Clean the sand bucket and dispose of your butts in the garbage before leaving.
OUTDOOR FIRES:
There is a firepit in the backyard for those nightly campfires so feel free to roast marshmallows and enjoy a fire under the stars.
Note: local fire by-law restrictions do not allow for outdoor daytime fires (which means no fires in the firepits between 2am and 6pm). AKA start your fire after 7pm and extinguish by 12:30am.
Please make sure the fire in the firepit is out before you go to bed and that it is not left unattended at any time. Please watch kids around the fire pit. The firepit can get very hot and can burn you if you are not careful. There is lots of seating around the firepit
NO FIREWORKS ARE PERMITTED AT ANYTIME
NO PETS (unless discussed in at the time of booking with the owner)
This is a family oriented area, ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES OR LOUD MUSIC AT ANYTIME. BE REPECTFUL!
BEFORE CHECKING OUT: Tidy up, please leave Triple Pines in the same condition upon arrival, place all dirty towels, bedding, tea towel and dishcloth in the laundry basket on the dryer. Put all dishes away clean, unload the dishwasher and put dishes away, bag all garbage and place in the garbage bins.
